Timeline

  • July 20, 2025 The Union delivered the Company the complete economic proposal which includes wages, benefits, paid time off, etc.

  • July 16, 2025 after negotiations, the Company gave the next negotiation date of August 11, 2025. The Union conducted a Practice Picket outside the warehouse in advance of a potential strike and to show the bosses that we mean business. After the practice picket, the Company agreed to bargaining dates of July 28, 29, and 30 and to conduct some negotiations via email to wrap up non-economic proposals. 

  • July 14 and 15, 2025 Company agreed to 11 additional tentative agreements on Article 2 Company Title Rights or Interests, Article 3 Subcontracting, Article 4 Stewards and Bulletin Boards, Article 5 Strike and Lockouts, Article 6 Inspection Privileges, Article 7 Examination of Records, Article 8 Management Rights, Article 12 Injury on the Job, Article 13 Non-Discrimination, Article 14 Seniority and Bidding, Article 17 Arbitration.

  • July 3, 2025 Company responded with dates confirming all day bargaining sessions for July 14 and 15, 2025.

  • July 2, 2025 Brian Peyton President of Teamsters Local 322 sent letter to Lordston Forster Director of Labor Strategy and lead negotiator for the company. Demanding for more bargaining dates and for the company to quit violating the law and return 7 drivers who were wrongfully terminated. We also put the company on notice by delivering the results of the strike authorization vote.

  • June 27 and 28, 2025 a Strike authorization vote was held at 106 Wyche Road (Palm of Deborah Ministries) from 1-8pm both days and was approved unanimously to strike, if necessary, by the members.

  • June 20, 2025 as bargaining sessions come to a close, the union proposed a total of 19 articles and the company only countered 7 articles and we reached TA’s on 3. The union at the time has countered all of the company’s counters and waiting on responses on 16 articles at this time.

  • June 20, 2025 Union proposed two more non-economic articles.

  • June 20, 2025 the company did not return to the table but the Union was at the table and continued to make more proposals.

  • June 19, 2025 Company said it would not have any availability to negotiate in the Month of July 2025.

  • June 18, 2025 Union and company reached tentative agreements on Labor/Management Committee and one on Safety.

  • June 17, 2025 Union and Company reached tentative agreement on Recognition, Union Security and Checkoff

  • June 16, 2025 Negotiations began.

  • June 13, 2025 Teamsters Local 322 Sent the company 17 non-economic proposals.

  • June 9, 2025 the company agreed to negotiation dates of June 16-20, 2025

  • June 5, 2025 Know your rights flyer about your Weingarten Rights sent our via text.

  • June 3, 2025 Votes for the be Bargaining Committee were counted and the members elected 6 brothers to participate in bargaining.

  • May 13-15, 2025 In person bargaining proposals taken at Home2 Suites in Stafford VA.

  • May 12, 2025 Digital Bargaining Surveys were sent out via text

  • May 7, 2025 Lordston Foster met with Teamsters Local 322 executive board members along with International Teamster Organizers at the union hall in Richmond VA to discuss ground rules for bargaining.

  • May 1, 2025 Genesis named Lordston Foster Director of Labor Strategy as the lead negotiator for the company.

  • May 1, 2025 Local Union sent a request for information to the company and gave the company several dates in June to begin bargaining.

  • May 1, 2025 The NLRB Certified the election results.

  • April 22 and 23, 2025 The Genesis Bargaining Unit Voted to become Teamsters.
